Terms of Service
Effective: 5 August 2026
These Terms govern use of Class Log, a staff class-coverage application operated for Mount Carmel School. By using Class Log, you agree to follow these Terms, applicable school policies and instructions issued by authorised school administrators.
1. Authorised users
Class Log is intended for approved school staff. Google authentication alone does not grant access. The school may approve, change, suspend or remove an account, branch, department or role at any time.
2. Permitted use
You may use Class Log only for legitimate school work, including lesson logging, planning, continuity, substitutions, duties, absences, school-calendar administration, approved reporting and optional Calendar synchronisation.
You must not attempt to bypass access controls, impersonate another user, alter records without authority, upload unlawful or harmful content, expose school information outside authorised channels, disrupt the service or use it for unrelated commercial activity.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for using the correct Google account, protecting access to your device and signing out from shared devices. Notify the school promptly if you believe your account or records have been misused.
4. School records and accuracy
Teacher names, departments, timetables, class topics, plans and remarks are operational school information shared with authorised staff according to department and role. Enter accurate, professional information and do not include sensitive student personal information unless specifically required and authorised by school policy.
5. Google services
Google sign-in is used to identify users. Google Calendar access is optional and requested separately. If you choose calendar sync, Class Log may create, update, list and delete Class Log-tagged events in your primary calendar. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies, and you may revoke access through your Google Account.
6. Ask AI
Ask AI sends the submitted question and permitted recent class-log context to the configured AI provider. Generated answers may be incomplete or wrong. They are an aid, not an official school record or a substitute for checking the Dashboard and original entries. Do not use Ask AI to make high-impact decisions about students or staff.
7. Availability and changes
Class Log is provided for school operations and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, network failures or third-party service issues. Features, permissions and these Terms may be updated as the school’s needs or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
8. Privacy and data requests
The Privacy Policy explains what information Class Log accesses, how Google user data is used, storage and sharing, and how to request correction or deletion.
